A short while ago I had a period of reflection. During this time, I came to a realization or an acknowledgment you can say. I acknowledged that Kulungu For Congo had to place more of an emphasis’ on the importance of our WHY. In the Bible, God said to us “Go into the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
I know that this is the basis we stand behind, this is our “Why”! I realize that I want Kulungu For Congo to focus more on the gospel because I believe that this is the true everlasting change. After discussion with our Board, we believed it was the right thing to do. I fully understand the greatness that Kulungu For Congo does in the Congolese community. With projects like building schools, creating water wells, and giving access to a computer center for our citizens in the Congo. While they are great achievements. They are all for a short period of time.
My belief is that while we will continue providing opportunities for families in the Congo, let us also focus more on the gospel. Because only what we do for Christ will last. So, next year we are planning a trip to the Congo. About a group of 6-8 people that will go out and preach to 3 different cities asking people to accept Jesus Christ as their lord and savior. We want Kulungu For Congo to be exactly like this. Making disciples one person at a time on behalf of Jesus Christ.
